How to Delete Your Account
To request account deletion:
- Tap on your Profile Avatar
in the bottom navigation bar. - Go to Danger Zone.
- Tap on Delete My Account.
- Confirm your request.
Once confirmed, your account enters a 30-day holding period.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account?
When you initiate account deletion, the following actions take place:
Incoming Proposals
All pending requests to swap your books will be automatically declined. Other users will be notified that the proposal is no longer active.
Outgoing Proposals
Any book swap offers you have sent to other users will be withdrawn immediately.
Active Chats
All your current conversations will be closed and marked as withdrawn. You will no longer be able to send or receive messages.
Data Removal
Your profile, listed books, and personal data will be scheduled for permanent removal from the Pasaj database. This includes any information related to your activity to exchange books nearby.
30-Day Restoration Period
Your account is not deleted immediately.
Pasaj holds your account in a deactivated state for 30 days. During this time:
- You can restore your account by signing back in.
- All your profile data, books, and activity remain intact.
- You can continue to swap books nearby and use Pasaj as before.
If you do not restore your account within 30 days, the deletion process becomes permanent.
After 30 Days
Once the 30-day period expires:
- Your profile and books become anonymized.
- Your personal data is permanently removed from the Pasaj database.
- You are fully removed from the platform.
After this milestone, the account cannot be restored.
Important: Subscription Cancellation
Deleting your Pasaj account does NOT automatically cancel an active paid subscription.
